Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP)

I am currently accepting clients covered by CVAP. What you need is a letter of approval from CVAP and they will determine your coverage. You will need to bring that letter to your first session and all sessions will be covered up to the coverage. You can change counsellors but the coverage will not reset. If you need more sessions we can discuss options and possible extensions. For more information around eligibility please go through their website: Crime Victim Assistance Program.

ICBC Claims

I am currently accepting ICBC claims.

How it works is, you may be eligible for pre-approved funding for psychological counselling if you have been in a motor accident and have an open claim with ICBC (more info – page 4). Under the Part VII ICBC Policy, ICBC is required by law (The Regulations To The Insurance Vehicle Act) to pay all reasonable medical and recovery expenses the insured incurred as a result of the injury. In order to claim clinical counselling benefits, you must obtain a referral (note) from your physician who is recommending counselling treatment and provide this referral to your ICBC adjuster and the therapist. You will also need to provide the therapist with your ICBC claim number, adjuster’s contact information, and if you have a lawyer – the lawyer’s contact information. If you have further questions please use the above contacts to inquire.
